WoodVillage is a privately owned construction company, founded in 2010 and headquartered in A.A. Rasdhoo Atoll, close to the North Ari resorts we serve, with a network of locations across the Maldives.
Who we are
We deliver general contracting, piling and foundation works, design-build and pre-construction planning for resort projects across the Maldives. Our work includes overwater villas, resort jetties, dive centres, spas, restaurants and guest rooms, and refurbishment on resorts that remain in operation.
We work for tourism operators, government, multi-tenant residential developers and civil clients. A hands-on approach lets us make decisions quickly and adapt to what each client needs.

The boat was the first building
Every island has a boat-builder somewhere in its history. The boat was the first structure built here: hulls shaped by hand, planks fitted by eye, a village built around the sea.
Hussain Waheed was born into that tradition. His family builds boats, and growing up beside that work taught him that a structure is only as good as its joints, its curves and its finish.
WoodVillage carries that standard into resort construction: foundations set with care, structures built to last in a marine climate, and finishes judged by the people who will live with them.
